Heat Pump – Information Night & Bulk Buy

The topic for discussion was heat pumps. What they are, how they may save you money, how they are more environmentally friendly than most hot water systems, other pros (and cons) and how you could become part of a bulk buy scheme organised by Electrify Bundeena. Our guest speaker was Jonathan Prendergast.

Jonathan Prendergast is a renewable energy professional with roles at UTS and the Business Renewables Centre Australia. He specialises in Corporate PPA renewable energy procurement, energy markets and project development. He also has a business that develops and finances community solar farms, Komo Energy. Jonathan cofounded Sunny Shire with Jay Banyer in 2018, starting with a very successful solar bulk buy. Sunny Shire supports shire families adopting renewable energy such as rooftop solar, battery storage, heat pumps and EVs through information and support. These days it is mainly done via the Sutherland Shire Solar Group on Facebook. Jonathan lives in Como with his young family and he loves soccer, travel and talking all things solar!

Many of you are asking should I get the advertised  $99 heat pump and why should I pay more? Information is  the key to answer these questions and Jonathan addressed this during his presentation.

What is the heat pump bulk buy?

Electrify Bundeena has been offered two separate bulk buy prices, on the following three heat pump  models. We make no money from this, but wanted to help with a decent short list of heat pumps. Your purchase legally  is between you and the installer, we have just facilitated better pricing.

You have the option to order one NOW at a wholesale price (with a discount of up to 25%) or you can join a bulk buy, where an even better price is offered if we get 20+ orders. The additional savings from the bulk buy are achieved by reducing delivery costs. If we get 20+ units, it is one full truck and a better deal. However, waiting till we have 20 orders could take time – and we may not get 20 orders – if we don’t, we will be in touch.

The bulk buy is open now and runs until the 28th February 2024.
